First Day

In the EARLY morning we woke up to many strange noises including birds, dogs, and supposedly dying cats.  We started off the day with breakfast and a presentation in the library. After that we went on a tour of NPH. We saw the classrooms, the dormitories, pigs being born, the finished pig pen and the breath taking views. Following the tour, we unpacked all the donation suitcases and sorted them. We then experienced our first meal with all the kids. It was crazy, fun, and awesome to get to know the kids. After that we had kids camp in the girls dormitories. We did many activities including coloring, dancing, and making bracelets. It was a fun way to get to know the girls and let them open up to us. Soon after we had dinner and saw many of the same faces we met at lunch. Latter we gathered our group in casa dos to talk about the day and pray together. Overall, it was a very fun and exciting first day at NPH, and we are really going to enjoy the time we have here the next few days.
